Marketing communications will only be sent where we have an appropriate legal basis to do so.

4. Your consent is voluntary

Providing marketing consent is entirely voluntary.

Your decision to consent or not consent to marketing communications will not affect your ability to register for or attend the Open Day Italy–Libya 2026, nor will it affect any service or information relating to your event registration.

Marketing consent is separate from any processing of personal data that is necessary to administer your event registration and participation.

5. How will we contact you?

If you provide the relevant consent, we may contact you by:

  • email;
  • telephone or SMS, where specifically permitted and applicable;
  • other electronic communication channels where you have provided appropriate consent and where permitted by applicable law.

Where a particular communication channel requires separate consent under applicable law, we will obtain that consent separately.

6. Legal basis

For individuals to whom the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, marketing communications based on this consent will be processed on the legal basis of your consent, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Where applicable, you also have the right to object to direct marketing and to withdraw consent at any time.

7. Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time.

You can do this by:

  • clicking the unsubscribe link included in our marketing emails, where available; or
  • contacting us at info@aei-libya.com.

Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

After withdrawal, we will stop using your personal data for the marketing purpose for which consent was withdrawn, subject to any legal obligations or other lawful grounds that may require us to retain or process certain information.

8. Data retention

We will retain your marketing contact information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and while your marketing consent remains valid, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.

If you withdraw your consent, we will update our records to reflect your preference and will no longer use your information for the relevant marketing communications.

We may retain limited information necessary to record your withdrawal of consent and respect your future marketing preferences.

9. Sharing of personal data

We may use trusted service providers to support the organisation and delivery of our communications, such as:

We do not sell your personal data.

10. International transfers

Because AEI Consulting operates in both Italy and Libya and may use service providers located in different countries, your personal data may, where necessary, be processed or transferred outside the country in which you are located.
